Team Manager – Assessment OR Children’s Social Work Team – Medway – Up to £52,176 plus £3,000 annual retention

About the Role:

  • This is a fantastic time to be joining Medway as a Team Manager in our Children’s Social Work Teams.  We have recently realigned our services and increased staffing capacity to ensure our staff feel supported to achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people and families.
  • We have also invested in our learning and development offer, relaunched a new career progression framework and are in the process of embedding Signs of Safety as our relationship based practice model.
  • You will be responsible for leading, managing and coaching a team of newly qualified, experienced social workers and a family support worker responsible for delivering and improving services for vulnerable children, young people and their families. You will report to a Group Manager and work closely with other Team Managers across the service.

About You:

  • As a registered social worker with SWE you will have a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience of working with children and families in the statutory sector together with proven management experience.
