Job Description

Social Personnel are working exclusively with the Government of Gibraltar to identify 6 Qualified Social Workers who are interested in relocation for a fixed term, yearlong contract to work with their Care Agency.


Their Care Agency works a standard 37hr week in order to promote the welfare of children generally and in particular those considered being in need. As far as possible, it enables children to be raised up by their families by providing a range of support services. Services are broadly similar to England and practice standards and the type of families and assessments, etc are likely to be similar. They are looking for candidates with Child Protection and Safeguarding experience who are keen to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Gibraltar.

What you need:

  • Be qualified to Social Work degree/CQSW/CSS/DipSW or equivalent
  • HCPC Registered
  • At least 3yrs PQE in a frontline setting
  • Able to relocate to Gibraltar for a year or more
  • Have knowledge of assessment and procedures in one of the following:
    • Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub
    • Access and Assessment
    • Family Intervention
    • Children with Disabilities
    • Looked after Children

Role specific benefits:

  • A salary of up to £42,103 (dependant on experience)
  • Interviews on the 24th and 25th of October in London
  • An annual Leave entitlement up to 25 days pa
  • Up to £700 relocation (upon commencement of your contract)
