Job Description

Social Personnel are recruiting permanent social workers for Southend-On-Sea Borough Council’s Children Fieldwork team.


  • Southend-on-Sea Borough Council are seeking experienced permanent Social Workers for its Children’s Fieldwork teams. The teams comprise: The MASH+ team, where urgent assessment and turnaround in cases is needed in close collaboration with other relevant agencies. The A&I Team, offering therapeutic assessment to children and reviewing care packages. The Child Protection Team, issuing care proceedings, working across multi-disciplinary teams. The Court & Permanence Team dealing with Looked after Children Section 47 proceedings, writing court reports and statements and appearing in court to give evidence as required.

What you need:

  • QSW Status – including qualification, HCPC registration and completed ASYE
  • previous experience working with local authorities.
  • Right to work in the UK.
