Social Worker – Child Protection

Social Personnel is currently looking for experienced Social Workers with reasonable experience in Child Protection / Assessment. The role is based with Swindon’s Child Protection service and is paying a rate of £35p/h.



  • We now have opportunities to join our assessment and child protection service (acp). the acp team undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection.
  • The service is provided by experienced social workers, who carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies, gathering information for the assessment and analysing the potential risk to any child or young person.
  • After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the long term locality teams.



  • QSW Status – including qualification, Social Work England registration and completed ASYE
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in child-based teams.
  • Right to work in the UK.
