Job Description

Social Personnel are now recruiting an experienced Lead Anaesthetics Practitioner for a private hospital in Marylebone, West London.

Summary:

  • The post holder will ensure that professional & national standards are met and will act as a positive role model to junior team members following the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Health Professional Council (HPC) and KEVII Code of Conduct.
  • To work as part of the Theatre team and act as an effective role model, providing excellent quality of care for patients and to act as an expert resource & knowledge base for colleagues
  • To take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of, or as

    delegated by the Team Leader/Theatre Coordinator.

  • To maintain a high standard of documentation in accordance with their relevant professional

    body for Record Keeping.

  • To be responsible for planning, implementing and assessing care for a defined caseload as a

    named theatre practitioner.

  • The post holder will be required to provide surgical or anaesthetic assistance to the

    consultants during all surgical procedures whether under local/regional/sedation/ general

    anaesthetic, without direct supervision.

  • To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of practitioners.

What you need:

  • Minimum 5 years PQE in operating theatres.
  • NMC or HCPC Registration.
