I am currently looking for a senior support worker to work for a nationwide service with 300 care homes across the UK.
The service will provide a relaxed and comfortable home for service users with a variety health needs, including Learning Disabilities, Developmental Disorders and Acquired Brain Injuries.
You will be working alongside new and experienced staff providing varying levels of support to service users, including assisting with personal care, mobility and medication, as well as helping with daily tasks such a cooking and cleaning and promoting independence in the home and out in the community.
This is a 24 hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You will be working a range of shifts from 7 : 00am to 2 : 00 / 3 : 00pm and 2 : 00 / 3 : 00 pm to 9 : 00 / 10 : 00pm, sleep ins or waking nights, some weekends.
Please note that the shifts may vary.

The role of the Senior Support Worker is to support the management team in supporting the supervision of the Support Worker team in their day to day activities and that new staff are inducted to their roles, including temporary and agency staff.
Taking the responsibility of running the shift as the senior person on duty, supporting people to take their medication, monitoring and recording medication, dealing with individuals’ finances and petty cash, ensuring we are working to compliance and following the organization’s policies and procedures.
Senior Support Workers will model their own good practice within the team to ensure a high quality service is provided. It’s a hands-on job so you will also be supporting people with a full range of daily activities, including supporting people with personal care.
