Job Description

Social Personnel are currently looking for a Band 6 Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist – Rotational   based in Surrey.


  • To assess and treat own specialist caseload of musculoskeletal patients and maintain associated records as an autonomous practitioner. 
  • To participate in the band 6 rotational scheme which involves working across CSH Surrey in a range of outpatient settings including GP clinics, outpatient departments, community hospitals and Epsom General Hand therapy Department. 
  • To supervise less experienced physiotherapists and students within this specialty. 
  • To feedback and receive guidance from band 7 and extended scope practitioners (ESPs) on a frequent basis. 
  • To make accurate and complete records of work undertaken and keep monthly statistics in line with CSP and physiotherapy department standards. 
  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own professional and clinical work. 
  • To teach, assess and contribute to the performance assessment of junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy technical instructors. 
  • To contribute to development of patient care by attending relevant team, departmental or other appropriate meetings and comment on recommended changes to clinical care or service provision. 
  • To be responsible for teaching student physiotherapists to graduate level on physiotherapeutic skills and knowledge within core clinical areas. 
  • To participate in data collection and occasionally lead clinical audit within the physiotherapy department or as part of the MDT. 

What you need: 

  • Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of CPD including attendance at relevant post graduate training in appropriate clinical field
  • portfolio evidence of information learning
  • Experience of working with complex conditions 
  • Minimum 18 months experience as a band 5 in a broad rotational post having gained a range of experience in orthopaedics
