Social Personnel are recruiting a Head of Pain Services for a client based in Barnsley.
Ensuring that IPMS clinical provision meets NHS contract requirements and local and national standards and CQC requirements
Providing input to IPMS SMT in relation to clinical related issues
Line management of regional clinical managers
Ensuring that IPMS clinical provision continues to evolve and develop to meet the needs of current and future commissioners, ensuring it reflects current and future best practice as identified in research, national and international best practice guidelines.
Provide clinical input and expertise in tendering processes for new services
Ensure the smooth implementation of new clinical services working with regional and area clinical leads.
The identification of and the development of plans to improve clinical services in light of research, commissioning requirements and guideline development.
Working with the Regional Clinical leads and Quality and Governance Manager to implement service improvement.
Ensure that IPMS has a high quality and robust clinical development and training programme which links to a core clinical competency framework. The role will include supporting the development and training of clinical teams in existing and new contract areas.
Work as part of the MDT in a clinical capacity to support the development of new clinical services as defined by the contract held between IPMS and Commissioning Bodies.
Be a member of the senior management team and will report to the fortnightly meetings and submit weekly reports to the Director of MSK & Pain Services
Work closely with the Head Quality and Governance manager, regional clinical and contract managers and area clinical leads to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical services that meet local contractual requirements and national regulatory and professional standards including CQC.
Assess, plan and review patients’ pain management appropriately within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring compliance with both the CQC and all applicable clinical and non-clinical standards.
Maintain high professional standards, keep abreast of relevant professional issues and continue personal and professional development.
What you need:
Excellent knowledge of Pain Management
Clinical background in delivering Pain services
Experience of manager a large team or unit
Right to work in the UK.
