Deputy Team Manager, Child in Need

Our East London based client is seeking a qualified social worker to join as a Deputy Team Manager in their Child In Need Team.

FULL-TIME ROLE – ASAP start for the right candidate.

The pay for this role is £37 per hour (Umbrella)

What you can expect and what the role entails:

  • At least 6+ years experience of front line work social work i.e. CIN/ CP/ Court
  • Deputy Team Manager / Assistant Team Manager / Practice Manager level, providing you have a good level of deputy manager experience and can evidence that you have taken on tasks that have been along the lines of ‘stepping up’
  • Extensive experience of CIN assessment in line with statutory guidance is required
  • Be able to provide focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives, about desired outcomes within the context of managing risk to children
  • Be able to build professional relationships with children and their families and use this to safeguard children to promote positive outcomes
  • Be fully accountable for all work undertaken for children allocated to the social work unit
  • Interested in candidates that have been part of major project/instrumental in local authority change
  • Able to analyse data and identify lines of enquiry as well as steps to improve performance
