Social Personnel are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Learning and Development Service in Lambeth.

  

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker with project management skills who is passionate about excellent practice and supporting the workforce to reach outstanding achievements. You will form part of a team under the Principal Social Worker to work closely with Practice Development Leads and Lambeth’s Corporate Learning and Development Service to provide opportunities that support a confident workforce who have the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to deliver a high quality, responsive, and safe service to Lambeth’s children and families.

 

The Department for Education’s policy document, Putting Children First, delivering our vision for excellent children’s social care (July 2016) sets out Government’s vision for excellent children’s social care and the ambition for a system that works for every child, young person and family. Central to this is the development of and support for a fully confident and highly capable child and family social work profession that has been properly trained with the right knowledge and skills. The National Assessment and Accreditation System for social workers (NAAS) is a key component of the reforms that are being made.

 

In recognition of the excellent work that has been done in this area, Lambeth Children’s Social Care has been invited to take part in the roll out of NAAS in the Beta implementation phase. This Learning and Development Project Manager role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of NAAS in Lambeth, and to contribute to the national learning process. In this role you will take the lead on the development and delivery of the NAAS pathway, support to embed the post qualifying standards alongside Lambeth’s Heart of Practice Framework and liaise closely with stakeholders. You will be highly skilled, diligent and high performing, committed to working effectively with professional systems to bring about positive change.
