Social Personnel are delighted to be working with Wandsworth on the recruitment of an Advanced Practitioner for a newly created Integrated front door service that includes MASH, Early Help and a Specialist Hub.

About the Role:

  • The Integrated Front Door Service includes MASH, Early Help and a Specialist Hub that consists of a Domestic Abuse Specialist Worker, Child Exploitation Worker, Parental Substance Misuse worker, No Recourse to Public Funds Worker and Family Group Conference practitioners.
  • You will be working collaboratively with your colleagues across the service and the partnership to deliver a high-quality and responsive social work service in Referral and Assessment (RAS).
  • Our Front door is dynamic, has excellent partnership relationships that we continue to build upon as well as building our links with community-based resources. We work closely with our excellent Early Help Service and a range of Targeted Services in the borough

About You:

For success in this role, you must have the following:

  • A social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England
  • Experience of practice teaching, mentoring and supervising others
  • Advanced experienced of applying in practice, the principles of care legislation relating to child protection, looked after children and the provision of services to children in need.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant policy, legislation, guidance and best practice in safeguarding children, and a high level of competence and confidence in legal proceedings in the family courts, preparing evidence statements/care plans and giving evidence.
