This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an organisation that prides itself on working directly with families to keep them together, offering opportunities for women in recovery to grow and build positive futures. This client provides good quality, psychologically informed, gender-based interventions without apology’.

For a Social Worker that loves direct work, this client enables you to hold a small caseload of 2 -3 families. As a Family Practitioner you will be working with complex families who have suffered trauma. You will be responsible for undertaking a parenting assessment within the timescales directed by the court / local authority. This will include completing risk assessments, placement plans, providing Court evidence, providing educational activities and feedback to support the child’s development and empower the parents to create change that is ‘safe enough parenting’.

This isn’t like any other Social Work role you’ve had, and you will be working with an organisation that has a vision and values that have the best interests of families at the centre of what they do. These are:

ASPIRATION – We want the very best for the women and children we support. We want to see them achieve the best possible future. A future that is fulfilling.

TENACITY- We will never stop fighting for the rights of women and children. We will work tirelessly to ensure that women and children get the best possible opportunity to have a better life.

INTEGRITY – We hold ourselves to high standards in our practice. As staff, students and volunteers we will conduct ourselves with professionalism at all times and promote by our behaviours the values.

COMPASSION- We offer compassionate care that is person centred. We do not judge women.

COURAGE – We will stand up against injustice. We will have the courage to make difficult decisions. We will put the children at the heart of our decisions.

COLLABORATION – We will work alongside women and their children. We will work in partnership with stakeholders and the community. We value coproduction and will try to ensure that the people who use our services are involved in the design.

If you:

  • Are an experienced social worker who is passionate about achieving outcomes for children?
  • Understand the impact of trauma upon adults and children?
  • Want the opportunity to work closely alongside families with complex and multiple needs?
