International Women’s Day #ChooseToChallenge

As you all will know, today is International Women’s Day, with this year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge – which focuses on women in leadership roles and how we can work together to ensure that we call out inequality and bias in our lives and the workplace.
While 83% of social workers are female, women in all industries, including social work, continue to be underrepresented in senior roles. That’s a huge number of women that have selflessly dedicated their job to help others and without them, social work would not be what it is today. This month is also Women’s History Month, the team at Social Personnel are taking the time to recognise the amazing impact women throughout history have had in shaping the society we currently live in and across all industries.
In social work, social care and of course, #recruitment, prominent women have fought to ensure the workplace becomes increasingly free from inequality and with more opportunities for women to progress into senior roles.

The Choose to Challenge campaign encourages us to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements, creating a more inclusive world together. You can read more about the campaign here.
Say it with us… “I choose to challenge!”
