Social Personnel announces partnership with Nib Shared Vision for permanent social work!

Nib Shared Vision, in partnership with Social Personnel, has introduced a pioneering three-year initiative aimed at transforming social work support. The program, in collaboration with Doncaster Council Children’s Services, seeks to enhance the recruitment of permanent social work professionals both in the UK and internationally.

The Typology Model provides tailored, interactive support to newly qualified social workers. Through daily mentoring and coaching, it facilitates a seamless transition from academic learning to practical competence within six months. This immersive approach ensures the delivery of high-quality care to children and families.

Operating independently of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) program, this initiative offers a compelling alternative for aspiring social workers. Already, five newly qualified social workers have been successfully deployed, with plans to onboard seven more by April.

Successful candidates will receive attractive benefits, including a relocation package of up to £8,000 and two salary increases within the first 12 months, subject to approval. Vacancies are exclusive to Children’s services, and applicants must be UK-based, registered with Social Work England (SWE), and have obtained their qualification within the last two years. Social Workers seeking to return to the profession after a temporary absence will also be considered.

Each candidate will be paired with a mentor for six months through the Typology program, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. This comprehensive support structure fosters professional development and upholds the highest standards of social care practice.

A spokesperson for Nib Shared Vision said the programme has the potential to “radically increase the permanent social work workforce and provide significant cashable savings across the workforce.”

For aspiring social workers, this program offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Social Personnel is excited to be part of this transformative initiative.
